GSA Schedule vs SEWP for Security Buys: Which to Use

Two strong federal vehicles, different strengths. A plain-English comparison for cameras, access control and AV-adjacent security.

The short version

Both are legitimate federal paths. GSA MAS is the broad commercial catalog with TAA built into the terms; SEWP is a government-wide IT/AV contract prized for low fees and fast quotes. Many security buys can go either way.

When GSA MAS fits

When SEWP fits

Compliance is the same bar either way

Whichever vehicle, the items still must be Section 889-compliant and (for most federal buys) TAA-compliant, documented per SKU. The vehicle changes the path, not the compliance requirement. Compare vehicles or ask us to recommend one.
